Valley of Tears
| Listen and Download FREE |
You’re up on your mountain
You’re way up on high
Looking down on me darling
now I’m left wondering why
Lord if I had the power to go back in time
I’d go back to where we were
before you told me goodbye
Chorus:
Thought we had a love that never could die
Yet you shattered my feelings
You cut me down to size
I helped you venture up there guided
you through your fears
But then you left me behind you in my
Valley Of Tears
Perhaps in time you’ll consider
All the hurting you’ve done
I guess time waits for no one
When the damage is done
Oh and it sure has a habit of passing us by
Yet the trouble with memories
Is they don’t always die
Repeat Chorus:
But then you left me behind you in my Valley Of Tears
About 'Valley of Tears'
This is sort of a tad auto biographical on events from my chequered past! So, I'm going to keep the lid on who, where and when it relates to. In reality it's more of a caricature on the highs and lows of the returns that one sometimes gets from investing their emotions into something that ends up going pearshaped. For one reason or another many of us have ended up inat unenviable spot with the sometimes bitter and self pitiful 'Oh why poor little old me', aftermath that follows.
